"They add color to the buildings and walls that otherwise would go unnoticed"-student
Murals are an essential part of my curriculum, not only do they bring community together for the creation of a bigger project that impacts, but it also allows students to understand the murals around them in their community. How they were made, what tools were used, and more. It's important to inspire students with larger scale opportunities.

Mountain Mural
Middle school students diligently created scale paper versions of their ideas for the public mural. After the K-8 school voted on the top six designs, students utilized the grid method to accurately transfer their artwork to the larger canvas. Each student was assigned a specific box to manage, akin to working on a mosaic, fostering teamwork and collaboration throughout the mural-making process.

Art Materials Mural
This style of mural was a collaboration with the whole school K-5. Each student was able to participate in this fun "paint by number" styled mural.
